Summary: "Shaitaan,” featuring Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan, crosses the mark of ₹100 at the box office on the 6th day of its release.

Within the week of Ajay Devgn and R. Madhavan’s “Shaitaan” release, the movie collected a total of ₹100 crore worldwide at the box office. It is a supernatural horror film, and ever since its release, the movie has garnered positive reviews and continues to do so.

During the weekdays, the movie collects around ₹6 crore in India. The film wants to reach the ₹80 crore mark at the domestic box office. In 5 days, Shaitaan has earned over ₹87.55 crore in India and ₹20 crore in the international markets.

The movie is directed by Vikas Bahl, while the story and screenplay are written by Krishnadev Yagnik and Ameel Keeyan Khan. The movie also stars Angad Raaj and Janki Bodiwala in pivotal roles. The movie is produced by Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Jyoti Deshpande, and Abhishek Pathak. For the technical crew, Sudhakar Reddy Yakkanti, a cinematographer; editor Sandeep Francis; and composer Amit Trivedi.

For people who don’t know, “Shaitaan” is a remake of the Gujarati film "Vash." The movie revolves around a stranger who enters a family's house and hypnotizes their daughter, Janhavi (Janki Bodiwala).

The Hindustan Times review of the film read, “The goosebumps and wincing that come with “Shaitaan” are not because of the situation or the film, but because its screenplay is organically horrifying. They come as part and parcel of the situational response that hostage dramas and psychological thrillers always deliver. Vikas Bahl has taken those sub-genres and tossed them in the gravy of the supernatural.”
