Summary: Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Tripti Dimri starring Bhool Bhulaiyaa earned more than ₹100 crore on the weekend.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 box office collection on the third day of its release crosses the ₹150 crore mark. It is one of the biggest openers of 2024, the first time for a Kartik Aaryan film.

It looks like 2024 will be the year that horror comedies mark their territory. While Stree 2, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, was the highest-grossing movie of the year, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri, is also among the highest-grossing movies of Bollywood in 2024.

In the first weekend of its release, the Anees Bazmee-directed film crossed the Rs 100 crore milestone. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the horror comedy made Rs 33.5 crore on Sunday, bringing the total earnings on its first weekend to Rs 106 crore.

Overseas, the movie earned around Rs 30 crore, bringing its total opening weekend earnings to ₹157 crore globally.

The movie made a lot of money even though its Friday and Saturday earnings dropped by about 10%. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 made Rs 35.5 crore on Friday and Rs 37 crore on Saturday. This is the third-highest opening film after Singham Again and Stree 2.

Singham Again opened at Rs 43.70 crores, whereas Stree 2 had opened at Rs 55.40 crores. On its first day, the Kartik Aaryan film brought in a total of Rs 55.30 crores globally.

Singham Again received 60% of the new screens, while Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned 40% occupancy. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has performed well in spite of this, recording 70–75% occupancy throughout the weekend.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 had the greatest occupancy rate in Chennai, at 84.25 percent, with just 56 shows. Mumbai came in third with 77.75 percent and 826 shows, while Lucknow had the second-highest occupancy with 177 shows.

At Delhi NCR, the occupancy rate was 63.75 percent with the largest number of shows (1010), while Hyderabad had the lowest occupancy rate (56.50 percent) with 207 shows. As of Sunday, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 has 4397 showings, up from 4294 on Saturday.
