He is none other than Diljit Dosanjh, whose songs have gained popularity worldwide. People from all age groups and nationalities listen to his songs. 

 

The singer-turned-actor is currently experiencing significant financial success after getting only Rs 3,000 as his first salary.

 

Diljit Dosanjh comes from a small village in Punjab. A forest family, where his father was a bus driver. At 11, he lived with his uncle due to financial constraints. He started performing in nearby gurdwaras when he was just 16. 

 

Diljit disclosed in an interview with Curly Tales that he received ₹3000 as his first pay when he was eighteen years old for singing at a birthday party.

 

HIs first album, Ishq Da Uda Ada, was released in 2004. However, he gained popularity after the release of his third album, Smile, which was produced by Sukhpal Sukh. once he released his 11th album, G.O.A.T, in 2020, there was no looking back. 

 

Dosanjh made his debut on Billboard's Social 50 chart. Later, the record became the number-one album on Billboard's Top Triller Global chart.

 

He made his acting debut in 2011, with the movie “The Lion of Punjab.” while the movie wasn’t a hit, its song ‘Lak 28 Kudi Da’ sung by Diljit became a huge hit. He has established himself as one of the most prosperous actors in the Punjabi cinema business throughout the years. 

 

With appearances on US primetime chat shows and a Coachella performance, he has evolved into a worldwide celebrity in recent years.

 

He made his Bollywood debut with the film, Good Newz, alongside Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Kiara Advani. Later he appeared in movies like Udta punjab, Pari, and Amar Singh Chamkila.
