In a 400m race tournament that was held in Mumbai, the actor – Angad Bedi won the silver medal competing in the 31-40 year category. The enterprising man completed the feat in only 66 seconds. For a year, Angad Bedi trained hard for the tournament and was coached by Brinston Miranda. This was his solo victory at sports in an official event. The actor said that he wanted to push himself to see if he could make it into a new field, and sports was the one for him as he always felt drawn to it. The last few weeks were intense for him. However, Angad thinks that for a silver medal, the efforts are worth it.

He thanked his team and expressed gratitude to his coach for his guidance and support in his journey. On the other hand, Miranda, his coach is a sprinter who has won several gold medals including winning 5th place in the 2016 World Masters. Angad Bedi shared video and pictures from the event on his Instagram and said that he ran his first official 400m race under the leadership of his coach. The race was a track n field event for which the actor had been training for almost a year and put in a lot of effort.

He said that yesterday he completed the course on track in 66 seconds while previously it used to take him 2:15 minutes to achieve the same. Constant training is what got him the silver medal. The actor said that there were butterflies in his stomach and he was nervous. But he conveyed all thanks to his coach who has been monumental in coaching him along with his doctor – Prachi Shah for undertaking several sessions to bring him to fitness with physio.

Angad also said that he will strive to get better and there is a long way to it, and he will compete against himself to keep marching ahead. Also, he recalled and said that #409 is his number and shall remain so always. Angad had an aim for the race, and though he won his first silver here, he said he had targeted an ending within 60 or 63 seconds. But he is working on his strength, conditioning, and speed while training with Brinston for the last three years. Guess, we will meet his explosive side yet again soon.
