New Poster of Adipurush Released Featuring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny on Ram Navami but the Critics Do Not Like It

Team Adipurush shares a new poster of the movie on Ram Navami on social media, but earns disapproval from the audience.

The poster of Adipurush, the epic saga based on Ramayana was unveiled on Thursday. The magnum opus of Om Raut already received a backlash earlier for the appearance of the actors playing the key role, and the movie’s editor had defended it by saying that people are used to seeing Lord Ram and Sita maa in the old monotonous looks. The poster shows Lord Ram, Maa Sita, and Lord Laxman standing together and Hanuman Ji kneeling in front of them.

Prabhas also shared the feature on Instagram, which reveals Kirti Sanon as Sita maa, himself as Lord Ram, and Sunny Singh as Lord Laxman. The poster has hashtags – Ram Navmi, Jai Shri Ram, and Adipurush. And the caption is written in Hindi, English, and Telugu. The caption is - "Mantron se badhke tera naam, Jai Shri Ram (Your name is greater than mantra, Jai Shri Ram)." People are having mixed reactions to the poster of Adipurush.

A person reacted to the official post by saying that the poster does not look promising. However, it is not the fault of the actors and there is nothing against them. An Instagram user on the other hand said that the poster gives the word adaptation vibes about the theme. And then a comment read that to image Prabhas’ Baahubali with long hair in the role of Lord Rama, while another read that Prabhas anna (brother) must drop the project. The film will star Prabhas, Sunny, Kirti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, and others.

The movie is basically a celebration of the concept – the victory of good over evil, and released as a multilingual period saga. It is an adaptation of Ramayana, a Hindu epic. Saif features Lankesh and Prabhas as Lord Ram. The movie is produced by Krishan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, Prasad, Sutar, Om, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.

T-Series on its official Twitter page has shared the picture. Bhushan Kumar, the producer of the movie, and Om also sought the blessings of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on visiting the religious place, especially for Adipurush. And they posted on Twitter that they are seeking divine blessings for the film, which will be released on 16 June 2023 in the theatres. It will be a 3D movie.

Kirti while speaking to the media said that the entire team is proud of the film and she prays and hopes that people will also be proud of it. The movie is quite important for them and it is way more than just a film for them, thus, she hopes that the same gets its due. Kirti also said she has a feeling that the movie will perhaps do well and that such stories are important to be made as they are educational for kids. She thinks that today’s kids would have not watched the movie if she had not seen it as well.
