Summary: The actor was stabbed multiple times at his Bandra home during an attempted theft.

Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times at his home in the Satguru Sharan building in Bandra by an unidentified intruder in a theft attempt. He suffered six injuries and was immediately admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. Kareena Kapoor Khan and their sons were home during the attack and are safe luckily.

Police said that the actor suffered two deep wounds and one wound near his spinal cord. At around 3.30 a.m., the suspect entered Saif Ali Khan's Bandra residence and the two got into a dispute, during which the actor was stabbed.

Lokmat said that the assailant attempted to enter Jeh’s room, the youngest son of Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan. Jeh's caregiver screamed when she noticed the man. As the altercation started, Saif hurried from his room and interacted with the assailant.

An FIR has been lodged against the intruder at Bandra Police station. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dixit Gedam said, "An unidentified person intruded into the residence of actor Saif Ali Khan. The actor and the intruder fought. The actor was injured and is being treated. An investigation is going on.”

Police are questioning three attendants who work at Saif Ali Khan's residence. One of them was injured during the altercation.

Saif Ali Khan’s team released a statement, “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation.”

Ibrahim Khan and Sara Ali Khan, the son and daughter of actor Saif Ali Khan, arrived at Lilavati Hospital to meet their father.

Although Khan's health had stabilized, the hospital's COO, Dr. Niraj Uttamani, said that the entire extent of the injury would be known only after the surgery. According to reports, he has two significant wounds—one on his left wrist and one close to his spine—that would need plastic surgery. Despite the severity of his injuries, they are not thought to be life-threatening.
