Fans will soon witness the 8th installment of Mission Impossible, named “Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning.” The teaser trailer was shared with the fans, giving them a sneak peek into the exciting new chapter of Ethan Hunt’s life.

The trailer that the producers, Paramount Pictures, posted to YouTube garnered over 12 million views in a matter of hours. The title was initially intended to be "Part Two" of 2023's Dead Reckoning, according to Variety.

However, the title was altered to include the word "final" to allude to the final mission of the main character, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise). The teaser builds on the franchise's nostalgia by showcasing scenes from the groundbreaking 1996 film Mission: Impossible, which was directed by Brian De Palma.

A voiceover in the teaser trailer says, “Our lives are not defined by any one action. Our lives are the sum of our choices. Everything you were, everything you’ve done, has come to this." Following all of the intense action scenes, it gets even better with Ethan saying, “I need you to trust me one last time.”

Tom Cruise's character, IMF agent Ethan Hunt, continues to fight against the formidable AI known as "the entity," continuing where Dead Reckoning Part One of 2022 left off. In the two-minute teaser, he runs through various settings. The 62-year-old actor is shown pursuing and possibly even catching an airplane at one point. He can be seen rushing from an explosion in a tunnel and battling with a knife in other scenes.

The fans were emotional; some commented under the teaser, “When I was 20 years old, I watched Tom Cruise running in movies. Now that I'm almost 40 years old, Tom Cruise is still running in movies like there's no tomorrow for him.”

One wrote, "Director: let's use CGI. Tom: I am CGI (Cruise going insane).” Another wrote, “Tom Cruise has put everything into these movies. One last ride. Thank You, Tom Cruise,” and “I need you to trust me... one last time. Spoken directly to the audience. I will, Tom!!” One said, "One last time." GOOSEBUMPS!”

Avneet Kaur met Tom Cruise on the set of his next movie, Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning, surprising everyone. She shared a video and lots of pictures from her encounter with Tom on Instagram on Monday.

Tom put his arm over Avneet's shoulder and they both grinned for the camera in the first two pictures. They were seen talking in a picture. In the video, Avneet grinned and shook hands with Tom after folding his hands.

In the caption, she wrote, "I'm still pinching myself! I had the incredible opportunity to visit the set of the next #MissionImpossible film, starring the one and only Tom Cruise!
