After the release and success of Vikrant Massey’s “12th Fail”, he is all set to be on screen again with the film “The Sabarmati Report”, the movie based on the Godhra train burning case that happened in 2002.

Vikrant Massey unveiled his next project on his social media account on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. He posted the teaser of The Sabarmati Report. Along with Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra, Raashii Khanna, are also featured in the movie. Vikrant plays the character of a Hindi journalist Samar Kumar, where on February 27, 2002, he announced the news of the Godhra train incident. =

Under the teaser video, the text reads, “27th February 2002. Godhra, Gujarat. A Tribute to the 59 innocent lives burned to death. 22 years, two official reports and multiple investigations later, The Sabarmati Report.” Similarly, when Vikrant shared the teaser he wrote, “Paying homage to the 59 innocent people who lost their lives in the Sabarmati train burning incident 22 years ago, today. Presenting to you The Sabarmati Report, in your nearby cinemas on 3rd May, 2024."

The Sabarmati Report is the story of incidents that took place on the morning of February 27, 2024 in the Sabarmati Express near Godhra Railway Station, which is in Gujarat.

Vikrant is still enjoying the success of his last movie “12th Fail’ based on the real life of IPS Manoj Kumar Sharma. The film was praised by critics and many other celebrities like Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, and many others.

Other than The Sabarmati Report, Vikrant Massey will also be seen in the second installment of movie “Haseena Dilruba” titled as “Phir Aayi Haseena Dilruba”
